This historic home is beautifully restored in period. The grounds are relaxing, with a lovely patio and garden. The home boasts a cozy library with a working fireplace. The host, Hans, is warm and personable with a depth of knowledge about the home, its restoration and the surrounding countryside. Hans is a wonderful breakfast cook as well. It is very conveniently located for a wonderful city escape, a romantic weekend, or a lovely stay for families of DePauw University students. I highly recommend this B&B. Enjoy your stay!

I have loved this house since 1999, driving by on the National Road between Avon and Terre Haute and admiring it. Today a dream of mine came true - the owner gave us a tour and told us some of the rich history of Rising Hall. This house is gorgeous and has been painstakingly restored while retaining its original Italianate aesthetic. Cozy and welcoming inside, stately and grand outside.
